Basic Lessons for "DADGAD" Guitar Tuning / How to Press Chords on DADGAD
This sixth time is teaching you how to press down [F] chord witch is one of the complicated chords.

[F] chord on DADGAD

F chord is needed to press down at 3rd fret on 4~6th string with laying middle finger down, and also press down on the other strings with rest of the fingers.
In the same way of F chord on standard tuning, you can make use of this form and simplified form to the other chords which has its root on 6th string with moving on the fret.



[F] chord on DADGAD (Simplified form)

For pressing down simplified form, press down at 3rd fret on 6th string which is "root" of F with middle finger, and press down on 2-4th string with rest of the fingers.
In this case, be aware of muting 1st string and 5th string.



[Fm] chord on DADGAD

From F chord, move your finger from 2nd fret on 3rd string to 1st fret, and it becomes Minor chord.



[Fm] chord on DADGAD (Simplified form)

From Simplified F chord, move your finger from 2nd fret on 3rd string to 1st fret, and it becomes Minor chord.

For pressing down 7th chord, press down at 3rd fret on 6th string which is "root" of F with third finger, and press down on 2-4th string with rest of the fingers.
In the same way of the form of simplified F chord, be aware of muting 1st string and 5th string.



[Fm7] chord on DADGAD

From F7 chord, release the middle finger from 2nd fret on 2nd string, and press down 1st fret with laying forefinger down.
Therefore, it becomes Minor 7th chord.



[FM7] chord on DADGAD

For pressing down Major 7th chord, press down at 3rd fret on 6th string which is "root" of F, and press down like a form of Am chord with rest of the fingers.
If it is difficult to do "barre", just press down 2~4th string with ball of your forefinger.
At that case, be aware of muting 1st string.
In either case, you need to mute 5th string.





As I mentioned earlier, in the same way of F chord on standard tuning, F chord is one of the very important chords which is applied to any kinds of chord with moving on the fret.

F chord is quite difficult if you compare to the others that I introduced yet.
However, it is still easier than F chord on standard tuning because you don't need to barre all of the strings.
